The Founder of HISP

Caroline founded HISP in Spring 2011, merging her two roles as Specialist Advisory Teacher and Clinical Hypnotherapist.

She has a degree in psychology and is a qualified teacher with over 20 years experience including mainstream, special education settings and a local authority Special Needs Support Service.  She is a qualified counsellor registered with the British Society of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP), a Mindfulness Accredited Teacher and a Paediatric Sleep Practitioner.  Her background also includes previous work as an intermediate tutor for Team Teach, a qualified nurture group practitioner and a lecturer in Solution Focused Approaches.

As a clinical hypnotherapist she has over 15 years of experience and specialises in working with children and young people.  She is the Director of Managing Minds Ltd, a company which provides Social, Emotional and Mental Health Support to schools (www.managingminds.co.uk).  She is a clinical supervisor for hypnotherapists and runs various training courses on a variety of areas around mental health, including using hypnotherapy with children.  

She has numerous articles published to date in various magazines and journals covering hypnotherapy, education and HISP.  She is booked to speak at various national events including The Education Show, NEC (March 2014) and The London College of Clinical Hypnosis Conference (May 2014), The TES SEN Show, London (October 2014), SEN Conference, Wellington College (February 2015), The APHP Annual Conference.
